OttLite, in coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is conducting a recall of the OttLite Rechargeable UVC Disinfecting Wand (model: UV10002M) and will replace it with another disinfecting product.

The OttLite Rechargeable UVC Disinfecting Wand has inherent design features such as a timer to turn the wand off after 1 minute of use and an automatic shut off if the wand is rotated 90 degrees. This does not eliminate the risk associated with the UVC Disinfecting Wand.

As a precautionary effort, OttLite Technologies, Inc. is recalling this product. OttLite will be responsible for all expenses related to the return of the wand in your possession as well as any costs related to the replacement UV Disinfecting Phone Case with Wireless Charging.

Recalled Product Description: The OttLite Rechargeable UVC Disinfecting Wand is a device that uses UV light to disinfect surfaces from harmful viruses and bacteria.

Hazard: Exposure to unsafe levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation when the light is continuously exposed directly to eyes or skin.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return the item to OttLite to receive a replacement product. This letter serves as instructions for returning your OttLite Rechargeable UVC Disinfecting Wand (model: UV10002M) to Ottlite.

Incidents/Injuries: There have been no reported incidents of unsafe levels of radiation exposure from consumers and there have been no reported injuries to date. The FDA has determined that this product allows for the emission of ultraviolet (UV) electronic product radiation in excess of exposure limits recommended by the International Commission on Non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).

Replacement Product Description: The Ottlite UVC Disinfecting Phone Case with Wireless Charging is a device that uses UV light in an enclosed case to disinfect personal items such as a phone or keys from viruses and bacteria. The product additionally is equipped with a wireless phone charger, essential oil diffuser, and a night light.

1. Immediately discontinue use of the product.
2. Fill out the form below. If you are unable to fill out this form, please call us toll-free at 1-800-842-8848 Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm ET or email with the heading RECALL to custserv@ottlite.com
3. You will receive an email confirmation and instructions for submitting your product within 10 business days (2 weeks)
4. OttLite will send a pre-paid shipping label and packaging to your address so you can return your wand
5. Please package the product and drop off at your nearest drop off locaction (instructions will be provided)
6. Once the returned wand is received, OttLite will send the replacement product to the address you provided. Please allow 4 weeks for your replacement product to arrive.
